The covers below represent just some of the many books I was privileged to help bring to life during my years with my Love of Books business. As Julie McGregor, I had the opportunity to work alongside authors throughout Australia, helping transform their manuscripts into professionally published books. Each began as a dream, a story, and an author hoping to share their work with the world.
Throughout my publishing career, I believed every author deserved honest advice, genuine support, and the time needed to understand the publishing process. In my own business, authors were never charged for asking questions or seeking guidance from me. They paid only for the professional publishing services and products they chose, allowing them to remain in control of both their publishing journey and their budget. I have always been in a caring role of some kind. It is where my heart is.
Many of the authors I worked with became much more than clients. I spent countless hours meeting with writers in their homes, welcoming them into my office, listening to their stories, discussing their goals, and helping them navigate the path to publication with confidence. The relationships, friendships, and trust that developed over the years remain among the most rewarding aspects of my publishing career.
The books featured here represent some of the first titles among more than 1,700 books created with authors across Australia. Seeing those dreams become reality was one of the greatest joys of my life, and I remain deeply grateful to every author who entrusted me with their work and allowed me to be part of their publishing journey.

Joyce Livingstone lived in a very remote town. With limited computer skills, I assisted her in publishing six children's book titles for her grandchildren. Admittedly, much of our correspondence was completed through Australia Post. She would phone me, filled with excitement, upon receiving her new books, which featured her lovely little stories and all her own full-colour hand-drawn illustrations.
