Who is Publishing for Beginners?
Please read – About Us to learn more about Self Publishing & Printing Services.
How does a publisher create my book?
A publisher can take care of all aspects of the book publishing and printing process. A publisher works with freelance proofreaders, editors, illustrators and page layout artists. Every service is required to self publish your new book professionally.
A publisher can also take care of your cover design with your expertise and register your ISBN & barcode, Legal CiP. We can arrange the printing and binding as well as the delivery of your new books.
Our publishing service will provide you with a personal publishing consultant. A written report on your book contents can be provided. A publisher can provide all information relevant to you to make your publishing experience as enjoyable as possible.
Who retains the copyright of my published book?
You do! You retain the full copyright of your book.
What is the difference between an individual self-publisher and a traditional publisher?
When you print and publish with an individual publisher, you are the publisher.
For the most part, you determine how successful your book becomes by deciding how much effort and money you want to invest in your book. In other words, you have complete control of your own success. You keep ALL the profits minus your costs.
The fact is, with traditional publishers, 99% of manuscripts are rejected. What’s worse is that out of the 1%, or so accepted, most of the books are not given a lot of attention to market them (publishers lose money on most books). So chances are your efforts will not be rewarded, considering you will only get a small royalty. Even if you get a bestseller, the publisher will keep most of the profits.
What is the difference between an individual publisher and a Book Printer?
An individual publisher offers a whole range of publishing and printing services that will make the entire process of bringing your new book to reality and a pleasurable experience.
There is more to self-publishing than just book printing. A book file must also be set up correctly before it goes to the printer.
Chose an individual publisher with an experienced and knowledgeable team of page layout experts and cover designers to ensure your book files are set up correctly with services that give your published book the best chance of becoming a success.
What format can my book be printed in with an individual publisher?
When you publish with an individual publisher, your book can be available in softcover, hardcover and as an e-book. An individual publisher utilises the best in state of the art digital and print-on-demand technology to help your book stay on top of industry trends, so it is available to a wide audience.
Who dictates the price of my book?
You do! You decide how much money you wish to make on each book and price it accordingly.
Do you think a self-publishing author can do a comparable job to a publisher?
I feel that a self-publisher can do at least as good a job, if not better than a publisher in virtually all aspects – if they’re willing to work hard. Because they have the luxury of being able to focus on their one book, which a publisher can’t, they can do a better job in the marketing and promotion arenas (and a focused effort is critical to a title’s success).
Remember: No one will ever care about your book as much as you will. Self-publish with pride.
Where can I sell my book?
An individual publisher offering comprehensive marketing packages can give you all you need to promote your book successfully.
What is your individual publisher difference?
Our individual publisher is different; that’s true! That’s because the publisher has used feedback from people just like you to help create a more friendly and easy self-publishing experience. Straightforward with services and gives you the complete picture right from the start. No nasty hidden extras, a unique service!
How long does an individual publisher take to self-publish a book?
Once you approve your book proof, your new quality books will be completed in a matter of weeks. As a general guide, a manuscript will take approx. 4-6 weeks to complete the proofreading and editing stage. Timing is dependent on the number of words and condition of the writing. It can then take a week up to a month to complete the other services required.
Once the files are print-ready, your books can be printed in a matter of weeks. Hardcover books and large orders will take longer in some cases.
